Councilmember Cox stated that his reason for bringing this <br />subject up for discussion is that the son-in-law of the owner of Harold's <br />Hardware recently died and the family could not find a burial plot in Ramsey <br />or Anoka. ~he family was not aware of the cemetary on Hwy. 47 and the <br />inactive cemetary close to Gateway Airport; a concerned family member would <br />like to see a committee organized, and is willing to serve on such a <br />committee, to research the cemetary situation in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Council consensus is to place Discussion of City Cemetaries on the next <br />regular Council agenda. <br /> <br />b) Ramsey's Proposal Regarding Landfill Legislation - <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle noted that Council has also received copies of Ramseys bill <br />proposal regarding landfill legislation, particularly with respect to hosting <br />cities. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann authorizing <br />that City Staff's proposal regarding landfill legislation be forwarded to <br />appropriate agencies. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />c) Placement Of Mayor/Council Input On Next Council Agenda - <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to place <br />Mayor/CounCil Input as the first item of business on the next, council agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
