Mr. Johnson referred to It~n 5.c in the findings of fact and stated that the <br />closest autcmobile sales site is within 100 yards and not 1 mile as stated in <br />the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson referred to It~ 5 in the Conditional Use Agre~nent and stated <br />that rather than the Sept~nber 1, 1986 date he would prefer a time limit of 1- <br />1/2 years after license approval on having the t~nporary office building <br />r~noved. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson referred to It~ 1 in the Conditional Use Agre~nent and stated <br />that a portable bathrocm facility will be on the property. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~nber Cox and seconded by Councilm~nber Reimann to adopt <br />Findings of Fact 0099 for Mr. Allan Johnson's request for a conditional use <br />permit to sell autcmobiles in an I-l, Industrial District, and to utilize a <br />t~mporary building for t~nporary office sp~ce, contingent upon his entering <br />into a develoI~nent agreament with the City. Further, the following <br />corrections will be made to the Findings of Fact: (Please refer to findings <br />of fact file for Findings of Fact 0099). <br /> <br />1. All references to 'mobile home' in the Findings of Fact should be <br /> changed to 't~mporary building'. <br /> <br />2. The distance of 1 mile stated in Iten 5.c of the Findings of Fact <br /> should be changed to 100 yards <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~nber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to approve <br />of Mr. Allan Johnson's request for a conditional use permit to sell <br />automobiles in an I-l, Industrial District, and to utilize a t~mporary <br />building for t~nporary office sp~ce, contingent upon his entering into a <br />develounent agreenent with the City. All references to 'mobile home' in the Conditional Use Agreenent <br /> shall be changed to 't~nporary building'. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Jim Armstrong stated that Ramsey has the capability <br />to be another Edina, but not when Council keeps approving the construction of <br />tin buildings along Hwy. 10, portable bathroom facilities at places of <br />business and allowing junk yards to exist in the City. Mayor Heitman stated <br />that Iten ~8 in the Agreement gives the City the right to inspect the property <br />should complaints come in. Mr. Schnelle stated that the City does have a <br />zoning ordinance in place for enforcement purposes. Mr. Armstrong stated that <br />he has complained about a certain residence at Cty. Rd. 83 and 153rd with wood <br />piles and heavy equipment and Staff is reluctant to do anything about it. <br />Mayor Heitman stated that the ordinances are there and the City is simply not <br />enforcing th~n.
