Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember COx inquired if the Mayor now understands how the constant need <br />to dispense with the reading of resolutions interrupts the meeting process. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman replied that the Charter Commission is addressing the issue. <br /> <br />E) R~quest For Change Order No. 1 For Improvement Projects ~84-20 And <br /> #84-21 - <br /> <br />Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of the reslution. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~nber COx and seconded by Mayor Heitman to adopt Resolution <br />#85-71 for Change Order No. 1 to Improv~nent Projects #84-20 and 984-21 S.A.P. <br />199-101-07 and S.A.P. 199-106-07. (Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution #85-71). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: Informational: <br /> <br />A) Anoka _Count_v Transportation Advisory_ Committee - <br /> <br />Council noted letter from County Commissioner Haas dated February 20, 1985 <br />regarding the establishment of the Anoka County Transportation Advisory <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Case #6: Receiving And Awarding Bids For Annual Spring Pet Clinic: <br /> <br />Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of the resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Schlueter and seconded by Mayor Heitman to adopt <br />Resolution #85-72 receiving bids and awarding the bid for the annual spring <br />pet clinic to Elk River Veterinary Clinic for the amounts quoted in their <br />proposal dated March 15, 1985. Further to set the pet clinic date for <br />Saturday, April 20, 1985 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #85-72). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilm~nber COx stated that the proposed motion in the <br />agenda indicates awarding the bid to Elk River Veterinary and he doesn't feel <br />it is appropriate for Staff to indicate who the bid should be awarded to. <br />Mr. Schnelle replied that Elk River Veterinary is Staff's recommendation; <br />Council does not have to follow that recommendation. Counciln~mnber Cox noted <br />that Andover Pet Clinic sukmitted a price quote on rabies vaccinations only <br />and the other clinics included prices for various other types of vaccinations <br />as well; if a variety of vaccinations are going to be offered at the spring <br />pet clinic, it should be appropriJately indicated when going for bids. <br />Councilmember Cox noted that the Andover Pet Clinic is a branch of the Anoka <br />West Pet Hospital, which is a Ramsey tax paying business and deserves some <br />consideration.
