PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> FJBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA GOUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 1985 <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />regarding Sealcoating Improvement Project 985-11, Pineview Estates. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilm~mber A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilm~mber Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Arnie COx <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City A~inistrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Larry Koshak of Hakanson/Anderson Engineering <br />Reporter Angela Flint <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the public hearing to order at 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY ENGINEER <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Koshak gave a slide presentation of Sealcoating Improv~nent Project <br />985-11 showing affected area and estimated total and per unit costs. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Deb Geske - 7210 149th Lane - Inquired if Council is aware that part of <br />Pineview Estates may be affected by the possible expansion of the Gateway <br />North Airport; some of the streets may not be in existence two years down the <br />line. Also inquired as to who pays the assessments for the two abandoned <br />homes in that area. <br /> <br />Mr. Koshak - Replied that the ~ners of the abandoned properties will receive <br />an assessment. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman - Stated that the City may have to carry the assessments for the <br />abandoned properties until such time as those properties are sold and the City <br />will then recuperate it's costs. <br /> <br />Ron Rautio - 7521 149th Avenue - Stated that the portion of the street by the <br />swamp has been settling and needs to be brought back up prior to sealcoating. <br />Commercial delivery trucks travel this street and it should be stopped. There <br />are only 5 hc~es on this stretch and most of the vehicular travel on this <br />street is from all the homes west that travel this road to Tom Thumb.
