Request_For Preliminary_ Develo_~ment Plan Approval; Case Of Northfork <br /> Dcv~lo_~ment Company- <br /> <br />City A~ninistrator Schnelle requested that Council table preliminary plan <br />approval until Council's regular meeting scheduled for May 28, 1985 in order <br />that Staff can address comments made at public hearing and present the P.U.D. <br />to the Park Commission for their input. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that when this plan comes back to Council in May, it will <br />be for final approval rather than preliminary approval. <br /> <br />Councilm~nber Cox requested that Staff check with Sherburne County regarding <br />Jarvis Street for any upgrading plans and consistency in easements required. <br /> <br />Councilm~nber Cox also noted that he is surprised that P&Z has not recommended <br />that the plats in the northwest corner of the P.U.D. and the 4 sites south of <br />that acoess onto a P.U.D. road rather than Jarvis. <br /> <br />Mr. Gair stated that the sites Councilmember Cox refers to could be developed <br />in a way that they would access P.U.D. roads rather than Jarvis Street. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmenber Sorteberg and seconded by Councilm~mber Cox to table <br />preliminary plan approval for Northfork P.U.D.; to refer the plan back to Staff <br />and Park & Recreation Commission for input; and to place plan approval on the <br />Council agenda for May 28, 1985. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Cox and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Heitman. <br /> <br />B. Request For Conditional Use Permit For A Home Occupation= Case Of Mr, Joe <br /> Ny_ara - <br /> <br />Mr. Nyara was present. <br /> <br />Councilmenber Cox noted a letter received from Mr. Thomas Blaska opposing the <br />home occupation permit because of the increased traffic and strangers it would <br />bring to the neighborhood having a negative impact on the safety of children; <br />Councilmenber Cox stated that this is the reason why the City has R-1 and <br />Commercial zoning and disproportionate taxing. Councilmember Cox referred to <br />one citizens comments at the Planning and Zoning meeting regarding a person <br />having the right to do anything they want to in their own home and <br />Councilmenber Cox stated that persons do not have that right and it makes it <br /> April 23, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 10 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
