Mr. Goodrich stated that there are two methods of handling this vacant home <br />creating which is creating neighborhood ooncern: <br /> <br />1. Have the building raised. <br /> <br />2. Have the building boarded up. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmsmber Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cox to direct <br />the City Attorney to take the necessary steps to have the structure at 14980 <br />Peridot Street secured. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Schlueter and Reimann. Voting No.' None. <br /> <br />Case #4: ~eque~t Fo~. Civil Defense Sirens: <br /> <br />Council briefly discussed the matter and the consensus of the Council was that <br />the Civil Defense Program is too demanding for Ramsey to consider at this <br />time; it was further noted that the siren system will soon be outdated. <br /> <br />Cas~ #5: ~ <br /> <br />A) gash Flow Report For March 1985 - <br /> <br />Council noted. <br /> <br />B) Revenue And _Expenditure Report For. March 1985 - <br /> <br />Council noted. <br /> <br />A) Open Meeting Law - <br /> <br />Council noted City Attorney Goodrich's letter dated April 18, 1985 regarding <br />the open meeting law. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that even though the law says two councilpersons can meet <br />with an individual, if they do so serially in order to avoid public hearings <br />or the meeting process, there is a problen. <br /> <br />B) Liguor_ License Issuuance Procedure - <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that he and Deputy Clerk Beyer have redrafted the City's <br />current liquor license applications to make it more easily read and <br />meaningful. Mr. Goodrich also stated that during the last year there have <br />been concerns regarding on-sale liquor stores not paying real estate taxes and <br />the liquor license application will also request verification of taxes being <br />paid. <br /> <br />Case #7: ~ <br /> <br />Mr. Schelle was in Council chambers during this case. <br /> May 14, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 10 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
