Regu_ est ~O Relocate A Drainage Easement; Case Of Mr. Gene Kellogg: <br /> <br />Mr. and Mrs. Gene Kellogg were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that the ordinance to vacate the easement located on the <br />northwest corner of the Kellogg property is being introduced this evening; it <br />would not be adopted until Mr. Kellogg has completed relocating a drainage <br />easement on his north property line to the City's satisfaction. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Cox inquired if the City Engineer has reviewed this property with <br />respect to how neighboring properties will be affected. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that he has reviewed the property. <br /> <br />Mr. Dave Steinhauser - 6220 163rd Lane - Stated that every couple of years <br />water collects on his property and he is concerned that vacating the drainage <br />easement and excavation will increase his drainage problems; requested that <br />whatever changes are allowed, he be provided the same protection that he has <br />with the easement that currrently exists. <br /> <br />Mrs. Kellogg stated that she and her husband have agreed to pay for the <br />necessary excavating to assure that no neighboring parcels will have drainage <br />problems. <br /> <br />Council noted the introduction of the ordinance to vacate that drainage <br />easement contained in the northwest corner of the Gene Kellogg property located <br />at 6290 163rd Lane <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg stated that the excavating and grading should improve <br />Mr. Steinhauser ' s drainage. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that the City Engineer will provide Mr. Gene Kellogg with a <br />written analysis of what grading and excavating the City would require. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that the City is pretty much committed to vacating the <br />subject easement if Mr. Kellogg performs the excavating and grading to the <br />City's satisfaction. <br /> <br />H. Adoption Of Resolution Setting Sewer And Water Rates: <br /> <br />Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of the resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~nber COx and seconded by Mayor Heitman to adopt Resolution <br />#85-99 to establish sewer and water rates for the City of Ramsey. (Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution #85-99). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx, <br />Reimann and Sohlueter.
