Councilm~mber Cox <br />stated that C~ty Staff should have a policy in place regarding which account <br />loans can be made from in cases like this. <br /> <br />Jim Gilbertson - 17930 Armstrong Blvd. - Stated he is present regarding a <br />liquor license for J.R. 's and presented letters stating that the insurance is <br />taken care of and back taxes will be paid on June 26. Mr. Gilbertson requested <br />that Council add approval of liquor license for J.R.'s to the agenda. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Councilm~r Cox referred to Cornelius' recent 50th anniversary celebration <br />and the fact that other surrounding area mayors were present for the event. <br />Councilmember Cox inquired if Mayor Heitman attended the event. <br /> <br />Mayor Heit~an replied that he did not attend. <br /> <br />Councilmember COx suggested that when the Mayor is unable to attend such <br />functions, he designate a councilperson to attend in his place. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann directing <br />City Staff to prepare a letter of congratulations to Cornelius in recognition <br />of their 50th anniversary. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hei~an, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox noted that a home in Ramsey was recently wiped out due to <br />fire and water supply shortage. Councilmember COx requested Council approval <br />to meet with persons from DNR regarding the possibility of DNR water storage <br />trucks being parked in Ramsey's fire barn and available to the City in <br />emergency situations. <br /> <br />Council bad no objection to Councilmember COx pursuing the issue with DNR. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox requested that Lawcon Grants, reducing speed limit on 170th <br />Lane, Northern Par Develof~nent Cc~npany, Community Park Festival be added to the <br />agenda. <br /> <br />Councilmember COx stated that there is a situation of a business operating in <br />the Whispering Pines residential area, specifically at the Tom Auel residence <br />on Eland Street. <br /> <br />Council directed City Staff to review Mr. Tcm Auel's situation and report back <br />to Council on July 9, 1985. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he has received calls regarding the need for <br />grass mowing at the cemetery on Hwy. #47. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that excessive rainfall has put the grass mowing behind <br />scheduled; the grass at the cemetery will be mowed. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber COx noted that there was a motion passed unanimously in January, <br /> June 25, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 7 of 23 <br /> <br /> <br />
