this case is that no hardship has been exhibited. Mr. Barthold stated that
he will withdra~ his request for metes and bounds and proceed with minor
platting. Councilm~mber DeLuca stated that the revised sketch plan must
still be presented to Planning and Zoning for review. Mr. Barthold stated
that Council did not follc~ P&Z's previous reco~endation 'on the original
sketch plan and suggested that the Council could approve this configuration
without P&Z input. Mr. Barthold also commented that the cost of minor
platting at this time is a waste of money because when he plats the balance
of his property in the future, these two lots will be included in that
plat. Ms. Norris referred to City Code and stated that an error has been
made; the proper procedure for minor platting only requires review by City
Staff and City Council; it is Council's option to request review by the
Planning and Zoning Commission. Councilmember DeLuca stated that he will
not withdr~ his motion based on concerns expressed by Planning and Zoning
at the last joint meeting.

Motion failed. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cox, Pearson
and Sorteberg. Voting No: Councilmember DeLuca.

P~q_uest For Final Plat Approval Of Sorteberg's 5th Addition:
Case Of Mr. Allen Sorteberg:

Motion by Councilm~ber COx and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt
Resolution #87-61 approving the final plat of Sorteberg's 5th Addition
contingent upon Mr. Allen Sorteberg entering into a development agreement
with the City.
