Highway #10 Corridor Study And .Proposed Use Of 1987 CDBG <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that in the 1987 budget process, the Economic Developuent <br />Company and Cc~mission requested funds for certain economic development <br />activities including a study of the Hwy. #10 corridor. Consultants for <br />such a study were interviewed and the Hwy. 10 Study Committee is requesting <br />that the COuncil enter into a contract with Barton Aschman at a cost not to <br />exceed $25,000 using CDBG funds. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilme~ber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution #87-68 to enter into a contract with the firm of Barton-Ascbman, <br />at a cost not to exceed $25,000, for the Hwy. #10 Corridor Study. (Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution $87-68). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember COx and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt <br />Resolution $87-69 authorizing the City of Ramsey to apply at Anoka County <br />for CDBG funds to be used for economic development activities. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />l~aview Of Gambling License _Applications: Case Of Anoka County <br /> Pheasants Forever And The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City has been notified that Anoka County <br />Pheasants Forever and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation have applied with the <br />State for gambling licenses for raffles, pinwheels, pull-tabs and tip <br />boards at J. P~ ' s and Superbowl. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~uber Cox and seconded by Councilmember $orteberg to <br />waive the City's comment period related to the gambling license <br />applications of Anoka County Pheasants Forever and the Cystic Fibrosis <br />Foundation. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Hartley noted that the licensing is a State and <br />not a city jurisdiction; city councils are offered the opportunity to <br />comment on the application. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox <br />and Pearson. Voting No: None.
