the existing city garage site. <br /> <br />Ed Patten - 14148 Cobalt Circle - Stated that he has heard there are plans <br />to realign Hwy. #47 to connect with Dysprosium Street in Flintwood. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann replied that there have only been preliminary discussions <br />regarding realignment of Hwy. #47; Council will be discussing that subject <br />on May 26. <br /> <br />Mr. Raudio - Stated that it has been mentioned that as the developer of <br />Flintwood, he knew of ultimate plans to realign Hwy. #47 onto Dysprosium. <br />Mr. Raudio stated that he did not know of it and he is very much opposed to <br />the idea. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox confirmed Mr. Raudio's statement and stated that <br />realigning Cry. Rd. #5 onto Dysprosium was discussed in previous years, but <br />not Hwy. #47; the proposed realignment of Hwy. #47 is a new subject and no <br />definite action has been taken on it. <br /> <br />Judy Kyker - 14157 Cobalt Circle - Stated that the residents of Flintwood <br />are upset and the only information they have is what they read in the <br />newspaper. Inquired if a decision is being made on May 26. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that there might be a decision to order a study <br />but not to choose an alignment. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich read a letter dated May 6, 1987 from County <br />Commissioner Natalie Haas-Steffen to City Administrator David Hartley <br />regarding pros and cons with a realignment of Hwy. #47 and requesting a <br />response from Ramsey by May 22. <br /> <br />Judy Kyker - Noted that the County is expecting a response by May 22; <br />Ramsey Council does not meet until May 26. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that Council anticipates discussing Hwy. #47 at their <br />next regular meeting, May 26; Council can schedule a special meeting before <br />May 22nd. <br /> <br />The following persons requested to be notified of any city meeting <br />regarding Rwy. #47: Judy Kyker, 14157 Cobalt Circle (421-0669); Elizabeth <br />Thomson, 14157 Cobalt Circle (421-0669); Ed Patten, 14148 Cobalt Circle <br />(422-0371); Kari Mahowald, 14145 Cobalt Circle (H-422-9356 - W-347-5187). <br /> <br />City Council directed that City Staff, Road and Bridge Committee and Public <br />Works Superintendent Mevissen research Mr. Art Raudio's proposal to trade <br />2-1/2 acres of industrial property for the existing city garage site. <br /> <br />Case #7: Introduction Of Ordinance To Rezone Property To'Pla~B~d'Un'it <br /> Dgvelomment; Case Of Mr. Gilbert Menkveld and Mr.'Art RaudiO: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that Mr. Raudio has presented to Planning and Zoning a <br /> Sp.
