Request For Conditional Use Permit To Construct AdditioB FOr <br /> gesidential Use In B-1 Business District; Case of Mr~ and <br /> ~gane Lundeen: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris explained that the Lundeen's are proposing an expansion to Chips <br />on 10 with the second story of the addition to be used as a residence for <br />the family. <br /> <br />Mr. Lundeen stated that in addition to expanding the restaurant, he is also <br />considering an option presented to him to begin manufacturing pizzas. If <br />he proceeds with the manufacturing option, he will purchase property in <br />Ramsey om which to locate the manufacturing operation and the restaurant <br />will remain as is. The manufacturing operation could mean 15 new jobs in <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Findings of Fact 0166 relating to Duane and Bonnie Lundeen's request for a <br />conditional use permit. (Please refer to findings of fact file for <br />Findings of Fact 0166). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox noted that he doesn't necessarily <br />agree with the findings as presented. Councilmember DeLuca inquired if the <br />Airport Commission has provided any input regarding Mr. Lundeen's request <br />as it relates to height limitations and allowing another residence into the <br />safety zone. Mr. Lundeen stated that he will keep his building height to a <br />minimum. Mayor Reimann stated that the Council's main concern is the <br />addition of another family residing in the safety zone. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox to deny Duane and Bonnie Lundeen's request for <br />a conditional use permit to construct an addition for residential use on <br />the property at 6710 Highway #I0 N.W. <br /> <br />Motion failed for lack of a second. <br /> <br />City Council/May 26, 1987 <br />Page 14 of 21 <br /> <br /> <br />
