Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca <br />reaffirming approval of M&L's off-sale liquor license and that submittal of <br />the license to the State Liquor Control for their approval is contingent <br />upon the applicant having submitted all necessary documents to the City. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #10: A~ppt Rcsolut~0n Approving Plans And Specifications And <br /> ~ettin~ B~ D~ For 1987 Sealcoatin~'Pro~ects: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution #87-135 approving plans and specifications and setting bid date <br />for 1987 sealcoating projects. (Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution #87-135). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mayor Reimann inquired if there is a way to <br />incorporate use of the City's sweeper and manpower into the sealcoating <br />projects to cut costs. Mr. Mevissen stated that he would have to hire some <br />part-time help. Mayor Reimann replied that even with hiring part-time <br />help, a cost saving may be realized; the City should also use it's <br />equipment to the maximum. Mr. Mevissen stated that his department could <br />handle pre-sweeping for sealcoating but final sweeping is too involved of <br />an operation for his department. Mayor Reimann directed Mr. Mevissen to <br />try and make arrangements for use of City sweeper and manpower in the <br />sealcoating projects. Mr. Mevissen stated he will need authorization to <br />hire part-time help. Councilmember Cox stated that Council has already <br />granted Mr. Mevissen that authority. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: Adopt Resolution Receiving Bids And Awardin~ Contract For <br /> ~x~ension Of Sewer And Water To The Industrial Area: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that the City received ten bids; the lower <br />bidder was S.J. Louis Construction at $1,093,702.00; that bid is <br />approximately 16% under estimates. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt <br />Resolution #87-136 receiving bids and award the contract for extension of <br />sewer and water to the Industrial Area to S.J. Louis Construction. (Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution #87-136). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson.
