school bus and there is an accident with the trucks. <br /> <br />Mike Nasby - Inquired why Council gave permission for the creation of a <br />lake. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich- Stated that he is not sure Council can legally deny it; <br />developers have the right to use their own property as they see fit. <br /> <br />Katy 0ttenstroer - Stated that the development is causing a safety hazard <br />for the families on 153rd and landlocking and decreasing property values <br />for those on Puma; Northfork may be a great development but it is causing a <br />lot of people a lot misery. <br /> <br />Terry O'Connor - 15311 Iguana - Inquired if Council knew when the approved <br />the permit that it would be a gravel pit operation for 4 years. Stated she <br />is for any solution that will get the trucks off of 153rd; it is a death <br />trap from early in the morning till late at night; heard and saw a speeding <br />truck trying to avoid 8 children on bicycles today. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox - Replied that Council was aware of the amount of dirt <br />that would have to be hauled out; the time period for doing so depends on <br />many factors. <br /> <br />Vic Hagenah - Stated that Mr. Goodrich's earlier comment implied that kids <br />should know enough to stay off the streets. The City has obviously made a <br />calculated error two years ago when Northfork was approved. People on <br />153rd are concerned with the continuing truck traffic and children boarding <br />school buses in 3 weeks; the people are tired of rocks flying from the <br />truck tires and hitting our windshields; the City better come up with a <br />good solution and fast. <br /> <br />Shari Shappell - 9325 164th - Stated she lived on Jarvis for 37 years and <br />moved to Northfork last year. Encouraged the city to open the Dayton <br />crossing. <br /> <br />Carol Shasky - 15320 Kangaroo - Inquired if anybody has contacted School <br />District N. 11 and the school bus company about the truck traffic problem. <br />She doesn't want her children boarding the bus on 153rd if the problem is <br />not resolved. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley - Stated he would contact the School District and the bus <br />company. <br /> <br />Dennis $chmeichel - 7961 150th - Inquired how the truck traffic will be <br />routed next year when improvements are being made to Cty. Rd. #83.
