He stated
that Northern Oxygen does not propose that safety features for the
airport are not needed but future expansion for the company is in
question as it relates to the following sections of the Existing Use
Provision:
Item B, Paragraph 2, ...No permit shall be granted that will allow the
establishment or creation of an airport hazard or permit a non-
conforming use...
Section 5, Subdivision 2, Paragraph E, ...specifically that land use
may, in case of an aircraft accident, cause an explosion, fire, or be
the least barmfaul or toxic, be an exception to expansion ...
What happens when Northern Oxygen wants to expand in years to come?

Mary Jo Sentyrz - Insurance is a major concern. Does insurance exist
for this airport. Can the City get insurance? Also, Ms. Sentyrz asked
that a copy of a letter, stating her position, be made part of the
minutes. Did not believe he has been well informed by information in
the various communications in Ramsey. He does not know what the
airport will cost the tax payers in Ramsey. All pertinent information
needs to be made available in a newsletter. Why don't you bring topics
like this up for voting and then it would take much less time; this has
been going on for two years. Use Airport in Blaine which is close.
The reason development is not coming to Ramsey is not because there 'is
no airport.

Sharon Mager, 7260 152nd, stated that at the last Council meeting, upon
inquiry, she was told that a zoning ordinance would not be acted on

City Council/August 25, 1987
