Mayc.)r Reiman directed the Council to proceed with the agenda and <br />come back to this matter once the Resolution was drafted. <br /> <br />Case 457: Review status of complaint about wild animals (bears). <br /> <br />Cour"~cilman Cox explained that a citizen had e;.,'pected the Council to <br />handle mediation in a case like this -For him. Councilman Cox stated <br />he had given a sample ordinance to Mr. Hartley to look at and asked <br />the Council .~.~ t. hey wanted a sample ordinance drafted ~or Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilman DeLuca suggested the ordinance designate differences for' <br />different types of animals, like exotir.: and wild animals, s.;o they <br />are all included. <br /> <br />Motion by Counci:/man Cox, ~:,econded by Councilman DeLuca, to clirect <br />City Attorr~ey Goodrich, 'bo draft a sample ordinance relating to wild <br />and exotic animals and birds, ~or discussion at the September 8, <br />1987 meeting. <br /> <br />Moton carried. Voting yes: Mayor- Reimanr~, Councilmembers Co).,', <br />DeLuca, F:'earson and Sorteber~. Voting r-~o: Non~.z.. Absent.: None. <br /> <br />Case $~8: Discuss the land~ill end use <br /> <br />Councilman Cox felt the Council should discuses this issue and make a <br />clecision pretty soon before the City looses ti~eir bargaining power'. <br /> <br />Mayor Riemann said he felt safety was the major concern., even <br />than ~Ltture L~SeS. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg agreed saying he felt this was one o~ the ~irst <br />things the Landfill Committee should be looking at. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said the Committee had already been discussing Come <br />o~ these issues. <br /> <br />E)ouncilman DeLuca said there was not enough information available a~ <br />~ar as plans, engineering data, what is required and what the City <br />ac:tually wants.
