PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, September <br />8, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the special City Council meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. <br />and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN I.NPUT <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that during the meeting he will be commenting on <br />the school bus/truck traffic situation on 153rd Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Roger Buchanan - 15230 Kangaroo - Stated that most parents supervised their <br />children at school bus stops on 153rd today. The truck traffic was <br />travelling at about 20 mph and Rehbein Excavating should be commended for <br />this action. <br /> <br />Council directed that a discussion of the school bus/truck traffic on 153rd <br />Avenue NW be placed on the Council agenda as Case #1.A. <br /> <br />Mr. Roger Buchanan stated that the truckers should be aware that the <br />residents appreciate their reduced speeds. Mr. Buchanan noted that he has <br />photos which indicate trucks are travelling about 2-3 feet from the street <br />curb; this is a safety hazard when children are waiting for school buses. <br /> <br />APPROVAL .QF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to approve <br />the agenda with the following adjustments: <br /> <br />Add: <br /> <br />Case #1.A Discussion of truck traffic/school bus routes on 153rd <br /> Avenue N.W. <br /> City Council/September 8, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
