Ms. Norris stated that Mr. Krizaj is request a metes and bounds subdivision <br />in order to correct an encroachment of his neighbor's house and garage on <br />his property. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve Mr. Pat Krizaj's request for a metes and bounds subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #1.A: Renewal Of 1987/1988 Insurance Coverage: <br /> <br />Mr. Grac~yk stated that on October 1 of each year, the city renews several <br />lines of insurance; quotes are received through the City's insurance agent <br />of record, T.C. Field and Company. <br /> <br />Conway Ol$on - T.C. Field and Company - Gave a brief summary of his <br />background in the insurance field and stated that the League of Minnesota <br />Cities offers the best insurance package to cities. Mr. 01son also <br />recommended that the city go with a $5,000 deductible which will reduce the <br />premium rates by $4,838. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve the insurance proposal provided by T.C. Field and Company for the <br />October 1, 1988 insurance renewal at a cost of $80,175 and authorize the <br />Mayor to sign the insurance agreements. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Graczyk stated that it has been 4 years since the city let bids for <br />insurance agents and recommended that the city take action to review <br />insurance specifications and rebid for insurance agents in May of 1988. <br /> <br />Council directed that Mr. Graczyk bring the issue of insurance specs and <br />bidding for agents to Council in May of 1988. <br /> <br />Case #2: Street Improvement For Hunter's Hill Improvement Project <br /> #87-23: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution #87-239 approving plans and specifications and ordering <br />advertisement for bids for Street Improvement Project #87-23. (Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution #87-239). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Merland Otto stated that plans and specs are <br />available; bids would be received on October 6. Mr. Hartley stated this <br />public improvement was petitioned for; the public hearing was held; the 60 <br />day waiting period has run out; the construction season is coming to an end <br />but there is a provision in the specs spelling out that if the weather is <br />not suitable for paving, the work will be delayed until spring. <br />Councilmember DeLuca stated that there was concern expressed by residents <br />City Council/September 22, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 6 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
