Voting No: None. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HE~!~I~INC <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann adjourned the regular meeting at 7:40 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the following public hearing: <br /> <br />Request by Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc. to extend the term of a <br />conditional use permit for mining. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular meeting back to order at 7:44 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request By Waste Management of Minnesota. Inc. To Extend The <br /> T~rm O~ A Cp~d~$onal Use Permit For Mining: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve an extension of the term of the conditional use permit for grading <br />and excavation issued to Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc. dated November <br />26, 1985 to May 26, 1988. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca noted that a few irregularities were raised with this <br />case: WMMI applied for a conditional use permit on November 25, 1985; <br />official approval was not received until March or April of 1986; two year <br />permit term commenced from date of application. Councilmember DeLuca <br />suggested that the city establish a policy indicating the commencement <br />point of conditional use permit time periods will be the date the permit <br />was issued. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that he would draft a policy according to Councilmember <br />DeLuca's suggestion for Council review and adoption. <br /> <br />Case #2: Request To Move In An Accessory Str~cture; C~e of Mr- Leonard <br /> Simon: <br /> <br />Mr. Simon was present and provided photos of the building he would like to <br />move onto his property at 17349 St. Francis Blvd. for use as an <br />outbuilding/horse stable. Mr. Simon reviewed improvements he will be <br />making to the building and where his home is proposed to be located on the <br />property. Mr. Simon stated that the building has sentimental value, was <br />condemned by the City of Blaine for development purposes and must be moved <br />by November 18. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann noted that city ordinance prohibit accessory structures being <br />developed on a property prior to the principal structure. <br />City Council/November 10, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 4 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
