Nov. 214, 1987

City Council Meeting Minutes
November 24, 987
Attachment B

Mayor Gary Reimann
Counci[lmember A1 Sorteberg
Counci~me~nber Steve DeLuca
Coundi~member Arnie Cox
Counciimember A1 Pearson
City o? Ramsey
15153 Nowthen Blvd.i~.:NW
R'ams ey!, Mn. 55303

Dear M~yor and Councilmembers:

There' Seems to be some misconception by Mayor Reimann as to
what P[ice I said we would accept for the land the city
wants to acquire for the MSA road south of highway 10.
This io¢cur.red when the Elofsons, my wife and myself stopped
to seelhim to try and resolve this issue.

The p,~rpose of this letter is to Clarify~ our position on
this. !What I said was t~at we felt the market v&lue of this
land %~s worth the $1.15 per square foot~that the Elofsons
had a ~revious purchase agreement for. I also said I did not
think We should have to take less than this fair market value,:
but I, ~ever said we wouldn't be willinq to neg'otiate with the
c~ty .oR a' d~ff~rent value that we could both agree on.

I hop.e~this letter lays to rest once and for all the state-
ment h~ keeps making- that I said we would not accept less
than ?%ft-Y thousand dollars ($50,000.00) per acre. I apologize
if I dSd not make myself clear to him on this point. We have
always[said that we would be willing to negotiate with the
city for a realistic price for this land, but -they have never
done so.

Sincez~ly;

Winslow Holasek

cc: City Administrator, David Hartley
Cigy Attorney, William Goodrich
City Engineer, Peter Raatikka
