Tree Preservation Encroachment Selected text was: "If encroachment into a tree protection area occurs which causes irreparable damage to the trees, the tree protection plan shall be revised to compensate for the loss. Under no circumstances shall the developer be relieved of responsibility for compliance with the provisions of this ordinance, nor shall planned revision activities stop the Environmental Specialist or his/her designee fi'mn instituting action for violation of this ordinance." 62. Landscaping in Protected Areas Selected text was: "The mowing, cleating and grubbing of brash located within or under the driplines of protected trees shall be allowed, provided such mowing, clearing or grubbing is accomplished by hand or by mowers. The use of dozers, loaders or other construction or earth moving equipment for this purpose shall not be allowed." 63. Tree Preservation P/an: New Trees This option was eliminated from the ordinance. 64. Tree Preservation Plan Specifications Selected text was: "The City Council may require the clustering of dwellings and location of dwellings to preserve significant trees during the plat approval process." 65. Tree Preservation Specifications (Introductory Sentence) Selected text was: "The tree protection plan shall be submitted at the preliminary plat stage, drawn to the same scale as the other plan documents prepared for a land disturbance permit application on the property, and shall cover the same area. The plan shall be combined with a required buffer and landscape plan for the project." 66. Tree Preservation Specifications Contents Selected text was: "A tree survey overlay on the plat which located all grand trees identified by DBH and species. Dead or diseased trees shall be identified. All tree surveys for subdivisions involving the construction of roads or drainage easement shall be performed by a registered forester and shall have the accuracy of plus or minus three (+3) feet. Existing contour data for the entire property with a vertical contour data at an interval of no more than one foot for all areas to be disturbed by proposed tree removal operations, extending for a distance of at least fifty (50) feet beyond the limits of such areas. Indicated elevations shall be based on United States Geological Survey datum." 67. Tree Loss Compensation The canopy cover subcommittee will address this issue.
