68. Tree Location <br /> <br />The canopy cover subcommittee will address this issue. <br /> <br />69. Tree Compensation Fund <br /> <br />Mr. McDilda to draft language to establish that the surety shall be 100% of the estimated cost to <br />replace 30% of the total plantings. The surety will be held at the City for 2 years. The surety <br />will be released after a satisfactory inspection by City Staff. If there are trees to be replaced, the <br />surety will not be released until the developer does so. If the developer fails to replace the trees, <br />the City can use the escrow to accomplish the replantings. <br /> <br />70. A specimen tree shall be any tree that has been designated by the <br />City Council, after public hearing and due notice to the owner of the tree, to be of high value <br />because of its type, size, age or other relevant criteria. A listing and map of all designated <br />specimen trees shall be m a intai ned and updated by the Community Development Department or <br />authorized designee and reticle available to the public upon request." <br /> <br />73.
