Simon aquifer will also be used as a monitoring well for the Mt. Simon aquifer. <br />Each of' the monitoring wells will be equipped with electronic data loggers for recording the monitoring <br />well water drawdown levels. We will coordinate the exact locations with the City and DNR staff. The <br />purpose o f the monitoring wetls is to determine the long-term impacts of the City's wells in the various <br />aqu ifers in the City of Ramsey. Water quality samples will also be taken from each ofthe monitoring <br />wells. We would use E.H. Renner & Sons as our subcontractor for the construction of the monitoring <br />wells and installing the data loggers. <br /> <br />Task 2 - Water Supply Well <br />In this task. we.will perform the following items: 1) coordinate and assist the City. staff in processing and <br />obtaining all necess~y permits and approvals from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), DNR <br />and otl',er agencies; 2) provide engineering documents to.secure a qualified contractor to construct the <br />water supply well and obtain approval from MDH, DNR and other agencies; 3) perform bidding services <br />to include issuing plans and specifications to bidders, answer questions from the bidders, attend bid <br />opening, and prepare bid evaluation and recommendation; and 4) provide necessary construction <br />engineering services to include the review of shop drawings, provide periodic on-site construction <br />observation services during the drilling of the new well to ensure that the well is constructed according to <br />the State ot' Minnesota Department of Health requirements, coordinate and assist the City staff in <br />reviewing the well driller's construction payment requests, and coordinate with the well driller to ensure <br />all as-built drawings and equipment operation mm~uals are provided. <br /> <br />Task 3 - Well Supply Pump <br />In this task, we would perform the following major items: 1) provide engineering documents in order to <br />secure the well supply pump and associated controls and obtain approval from MDH, DNR and other <br />agencies; 2) pertbrm bidding services; 3) provide periodic on-sim construction observation services <br />during the installation of the well pump and associated controls; 4) coordinate assisting the City in <br />reviewing the payment requests .~'or the well pump and associated controls; 5) coordinate with the well <br /> <br />G:',ramscyxOIso~fl.,T2-Wc{l Nn h.d~c <br /> <br />IvlANKATO .
