PC CASh <br /> <br />CONSIDER CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S PERFORMANCE EVALUATION <br /> <br />Givonna Reed, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />In preparation for a meeting to discuss the City Administrator's 2002-2003 performance, <br />each City Council member completed a performance evaluation form for the City <br />Administrator. Subsequently, the Mayor summarized Council Members' comments and <br />reviewed the summary document, along with goals for the upcoming year, with Mr. <br />Norman. <br /> <br />On December 16, 2003, Mr. Norman and the City Council met in closed session to <br />discuss Mr. Norman's 2002-2003 performance. It was the consensus of the City Council <br />that Mr. Norman meets or exceeds expectations in the majority of evaluation categories <br />and that there are some areas where improvement is desired. <br /> <br />Based on Mr. Norman's satisfactory performance, a request from Mr. Norman and a <br />recommendation from the Mayor, it was the consensus o£the City Council that Mr. <br />Norman's employment agreement would be amended to include monthly City <br />contributions totaling $3,000 annually to the deferred compensation plan of Mr. <br />Norman's choosing. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Consider the attached resolution noting Mr. Norman's satisfactory performance and <br />amending his employment agreement to include monthly City contributions totaling <br />$3,000 annually to the deferred compensation plan of Mr. Norman's choosing.
