CASE #2

By:

GOALS FOR 1992
.lames Gromberg, Project Manager

Background:

As you have received recently in the mail and at the last meeting of the Economic Development
Commission (EDC), the Commission is now considering the goals that it should pursue in 1992.
In the past, the EDC has not necessarily set concrete goals which it wants to complete within the
time frame of one year. But as a Commission, we need to develop a plan or an idea of where we
would like to end up by the end of next year. As with the list of goals you have received from the
City Administrator, the goals that the EDC sets will be goals and will give the Commission an idea
of how effective it has been in fulfilling its charge by the City Code. Some ideas for different
goals that may or may not be included in the goal list are:

I)
2)
3)
4)
5)
6)

Development of a chamber group for the City of Ramsey
:Ordinance proposals
Business Fair
· Business Visitation Program
Business Appreciation and EXPO
'Monument sign installation

Please bring along the list of goals you received in the mail last week.

Recommendation:

After discussion regarding goals, the EDC should develop some ideas regarding what they wish to
accomplish in 1992. The Commission also needs to develop a time frame in which to implement
and complete these goals.

Review Checklist:

Project Manager
City Administrator

EDC:I 1-13-91
