He stated they would bring back to the Board as a <br />Master Trail plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos explained what was occurring with the Master Plan schedule. He wanted to know if <br />they should schedule the public meetings around the City Council schedule. He stated the Park <br />Board would be at the meetings. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated they he felt if they waited until the Council was available, the meetings <br />would never happen. He stated he wanted the Park Commission to handle the meetings and take <br />control of this. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson asked how they would get the word out to the citizens. She wanted to <br />know where they would have the meetings. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated Connexus Energy was a possible meeting site. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated they should use different places for the meetings in the different zones so <br />more residents would be willing to come. He suggested the first couple of meetings should be <br />held at larger facilities to accommodate a larger crowd. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated the meetings could be on different days of the week to accommodate more <br />people. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds asked what was the time frame to schedule the meetings. <br /> <br />Mr. Jones stated they would be held every two weeks. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock stated they would like to come to every meeting so they should try to <br />hold each meeting on every night of the week to accommodate everyone. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated each meeting would be different and he thought people would <br />want to go to the meeting in their area. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock stated even if every meeting was different, they could still come to any of <br />the meetings. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that by the time they prepared the materials and let the public <br />know about the meetings, it would be the middle of July. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman asked who would maintain the trails once they were done. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated the regional trails received funding from the Metropolitan Council.
