EOC Command ~ <br />Liaison Checklist: <br /> <br />Immediate Concerns <br /> <br /> Is EOC activation appropriate? <br /> <br /> Report to the EOC <br /> <br /> Obtain initial briefing from Incident Command. Prepare and initial report to the City <br /> Administrator and City Council. <br /> <br /> Review Emergency Operations Plan. <br /> <br /> Provide resource assistance to EOC staff as needed. <br /> <br /> Are departments adequately represented in the EOC? If not, notify a representative from that <br /> department to report to the EOC. <br /> <br />[] Is a formal disaster declaration needed? <br /> <br />[] lfyou leave the EOC, make sure EM knows where you are and how you can be reached. <br /> <br />[] Are there City or County resources that would be useful in this situation that have not been <br /> utilized? Are resources being utilized efficiently and effectively? <br /> <br />[] Has the PIO been notified? If not, notify them to report to the EOC. Assign an individual to be <br /> the media spokesperson for the city. <br /> <br />Ongoing Concerns <br /> <br />Monitor how the community is perceiving response by the city. Troubleshoot problem as <br />needed. Is the city's response meeting the needs? IS it time to call in more outside assistance? <br /> <br />Are department heads and others keeping you informed on the situation status and action plans <br />for their arias o'f responsibility? Do you need more frequent and regular updates? <br /> <br />If it appears that the city has a high liability exposure because of the cause of nature of the <br />incident, b~ief the City Attorney and keep them advised of developments. Direct staff to make <br />sure necesSary documentation is collected, preserved, etc. <br /> <br />Keep the City Council infonued of developments as needed. If they want to report to City Hall, <br />locate then ~n the Police Department Squad Room. '- <br /> <br />If this is a large-scale incident, are there enough funds immediately available to cover costs? <br /> <br />37 <br /> <br /> <br />
