CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a Work Session on Tuesday, Jamtary 27, 2004, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Assistant Director of Public Works Brian Olson <br />Police Chief James Way <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:24 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1 ) Council Meetings/Minutes <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman explained that during the Council meeting of January 13th, <br />Counciimember Kurak discussed the need for clarification of Councilmembers on the difficulties <br />of minule taking for Council meetings. The item was referred to a Council work session for a <br />discussion on how meetings are conducted and the necessity for one person to speak at a time. <br /> <br />The Council briefly discussed proper meeting decorum and the possibility of reducing the <br />amount of discussion that is included in meeting minutes.
