CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2003, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Presei~t: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councihnember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Melnbers Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CAI,L TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:11 p.m. and called <br />upon Councihnember Kurak to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec and the City Council expressed their sympathy to JelTy Zimmerman's family on <br />the loss of Je~Ty's mother. <br /> <br />Bill Casey, 18720 Ebony Street NW, Bums Township, stated that previously RYAA was <br />working fairly closely with the Public Works staff to keep on top of the Elmcrest development. <br />Over the last couple of months he has lost touch as to where they were. The concern RYAA has <br />is that the youth programs are growing very quickly and next fall they will be experiencing "a lot <br />o1' pain }'or the lack of fields they have available." RYAA will be in a very difficult situation and <br />very possibly an unworkable situation. Mr. Bums questioned where the City was at with regard <br />to the development and will there be parking and a road access by next fall. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that it is their intention to have those things in place, but there are some <br />details that have to be worked out.
