They are anticipating that the fields will be available for use <br />next spring, but the biggest issue has to do with access. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that he did not have the staff available to answer those <br />questions. The City is trying its best to cover the budget crisis that was handed down to the City <br />fi'om tile State of Minnesota. All of those are questions they will be addressing in the near future. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec recommended Mr. Casey contact the Director of Public Works to discuss the issue <br />further. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig noted that the Public Works Committee did allocate $60,000 for <br />engineering and design of the parking area at Elmcrest Park. He thanked Mr. Casey and his <br />organizations for all the hard work with making the youth association a success. <br /> <br />Mr. Casey stated that as an association they are in the position to do whatever they need to do to <br />help things move forward. If it comes down to fundraising they could raise funds for things such <br />as maintenance. He inquired if there would be any legal issue with a private entity providing <br />funds for public development. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied no. <br /> <br />APPROVEAGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to approve the agenda <br />as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Elvig, Cook, Kurak, Pearson, <br />and Stl'ommen. Voting No: None.
