Chairperson Cook stated they should set up a couple of joint meetings with the Planning <br />Commission to go over these and create an Ordinance. He stated that if this is not done when <br />they are building up the City, they would find they do not have enough open space. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated there is a formula now for open space in the City for <br />townhomes. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Rolfe, seconded by Commissioner Johns to table this item until the <br />next meeting so more information can be provided in order to make a decision. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Cook, Commissioners Rolfe, Johns, Olds, Ostrum, <br />and Shryock. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner LaMere. <br /> <br />Case #2: Schedule Public Hearing on Draft Parks 5-Year CIP <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained the purpose of this case was to schedule a public <br />hearing on the Draft 5-Year CIP. Staff proposed the regular meeting date of November 14, 2002. <br />He asked the Commission to direct staff to advertise the public hearing in the Anoka County <br />Union and post appropriately. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum stated it would be a good idea to mail out any changes to the Commission <br />so that they could modify it and make changes at the November meeting. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated they could even do this at the November meeting and have <br />it brought back in December. <br /> <br />Chairperson Cook stated they would be meeting with the Horse Board at the November meeting <br />also. <br /> <br />The Consensus of the Commission was to schedule a public hearing for November 14, 2002. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Rolfe, seconded by Commissioner Johns to schedule a public hearing <br />on Draft Parks 5-Year CIP for November 14, 2002. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Commissioner LaMere. <br /> <br />Case #3 <br /> <br />Master Trail Plan Public Forum #2 Southeast Ramsey <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained Staff has rescheduled the second Master Trail Plan <br />meeting from Monday, October 7th to Thursday, October 17th in reaction to the conflict created by <br />the League of Women Voters scheduling of the Candidates Forum, also on October 7th. While the <br />Council and the Park Commission acknowledged that some simultaneous City meetings would be <br />unavoidable - two in a row, coupled with the fact that focus area for this Public Forum is the most <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/October 10, 2002 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
