Ms. Dodge noted that through
the Key Communicator program, she has been advising persons to call the
Police when their problems at the parks.

Mr. Otto is to research whether or not the river shore portion of Brookview
Park must be open to the public.

Mr. Terry Hendriksen - Stated that he has complained ab out people
trespassing on his property with recreational vehicles and he was told that
Ramsey does not have enough officers to be able to answer to those types of
calls.

Mr. ~artley stated that the Police Department is having staffing problems
but the response Mr. Hendriksen received was not proper.

Case #5] Qgher Business:

Commissioner Hetland questioned whether the piece-meal development at
Central Park allows for good planning, i.e. two buildings, buildings
situated in such a way to create a need for more than one water well.
Development at Central Park should be in such a way that maintenance costs
will be as low as possible.

Mayor Reimann stated that the warming house will be limited to that use;
the park center should be a real asset as it can be used for meetings, teen
center, etc.

Mr. ~.artley stated that installation of the two smaller wells was less
expensive than repairing and improving the existing well.

Mr. Otto noted that 4 alterantives for development of Central Park were
presented; you then try to make the favored alternative cost effective.

It was noted that the RYAA parents were notified and police are enforcing
no parking along 161st.

Mr. Mevissen noted that the second well at Central Park is not functioning
to it's full capacity. Chairman Lichter requested Mr. Mevissen to pursue
getting the well to function properly.

City Council-Park & Recreation Commission/June 9, 1988
