Absent: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Case #16: Requ~ FQ~ Special Signing In East Autumn Heights; <br /> <br />Mr. Rartley stated that a resident of East Autumn Heights is requesting the <br />erection of a sign in the neighborhood warning motorists of the presence of <br />a handicapped child. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to direct the Public Works Department to erect a sign <br />in East Autumn Heights to make motorists aware of the presence of a <br />handicapped child. <br /> <br />Case #17: Status Of Failed Sewer At The Ramsey Municipal Center: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City received 4 bids for a new drainfield at <br />Ramsey Municipal Center; low bidder was Salonen Excavating. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />accept proposals and award a contract to Salonen Excavating to construct a <br />sanitary sewer drainfield for the Ramsey Municipal Center at at cost of <br />$2,987.23. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg~ <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Case #18: Adopt Ordinance To Regulate Diseased <br /> <br />Per Council direction, Mr. Goodrich stated that he has researched and if <br />the City wants the type of control proposed in this ordinance, it will have <br />to adopt this ordinance and not rely on the State's ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. t{artley stated that currently, the entire city is established as a tree <br />disease control area. The adoption of the proposed ordimance will require <br />redesignating a control area, either the entire city or portions of it. <br />There will not be a substantial cost to the City for enforcement as the <br />Tree Inspector is already performing a lot of inspections. The cost of <br />enforcement to individuals could be substantial, but it could also be a <br />substantial loss to them if they loose the trees that make their property <br />valuable. <br /> <br />Council directed the Tree Inspector to review and make a recommendation for <br />a disease control area in Ramsey. <br /> City Council/June 14, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 11 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
