Mr. Hartley stated that the City currently purchases health insurance <br />through LOGIS. That contract expires December 31, 1988. Options before <br />the City are: remain with LOGIS; join the Anoka County Group at whatever <br />rates their carriers provide; purchase health coverage for Ramsey only. <br /> <br />Motion by Coumcilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />authorize the City Administrator to indicate to LOGIS that the City of <br />Ramsey will remain with the group for the purpose of purchasimg health <br />insurance with the effective date of the new contract as January 1, 1989. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #21: Bequest For Authorization To Pursue Aation Re~ardin~ <br /> D~e~ous Structure: <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that there is an abandoned, dangerous structure located <br />west of ~tumn Heights; the owner is willing to destroy the structure <br />within 30 days. Attempts by the City to have the structure burned one year <br />ago failed. The Building Official has provided a memo confirming that the <br />structure i.s of no economic value and is dangerous. The City can get a <br />court order to have the structure removed or destroyed within 20 days. <br /> <br />Motion by Coumcilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg that <br />based on the Building Official's memo dated June 28, 1988, the City finds <br />the structure located west of Autumn Heights to be dangerous and directs <br />the owner of the building to have it removed or destroyed within 30 days; <br />if not, the City Attorney is authorized to take whatever action is necesary <br />to resolve the situation. <br /> <br />Motion carmied. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND ~_OUNGIL INPUT <br /> <br />a) Complaint of repairs needed at Titterud Park tennis courts - <br /> <br />~yor Reimann stated that he has received a complaint regarding the tennis <br />courts at Titterud Park; he has directed the Public Works Superintendent to <br />advertise for bids for necessary repairs. <br /> <br />b) Development of outlots- <br /> <br />l~ayor Reimann stated that he hopes more research will be performed before <br />issuing building permits for outlots. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that he hopes the City will be more vigilant in <br />requiring platting of outlots and lots splits and that all labelling on <br />plats will be clear and concise. <br /> City Council/June 28, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 16 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
