PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 28, <br />1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br />Merland Otto-Hakanson/Anderson Associates <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. <br />and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve the agenda with the following adjustment: <br /> <br />Council Business Case #1 (Atlas Incinerators) and Citizen Input will <br />be addressed prior to the scheduled public hearings. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Request For Conditional Use Permit To Construct And Operate <br /> Contract Incinerators In The Research Portion Of Their <br /> Operations; Case Of Atlas Incinerators, Inc.: <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission conducts all <br />public hearings on zoning matters and held public hearings on two separate <br />evenings regarding Atlas' request. On June 23, Planning and Zoning met, <br />considered input from public hearings and recommended City Council adoption <br />of findings of fact and approval of the request. At that June 23 meeting, <br />certain members of the public were present that were not present at either <br />of the public hearings on June 7 and 16 and indicated a desire to be heard. <br />Mr. Goodrich recommended that City Council conduct an additional public <br />City Council/June 28, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 4 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
