City Staff to seek input from Mn/DoT regarding the possibility of <br />relocating the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers $orteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that after Mn/DOT has provided comments, Council can <br />consider ordering preliminary cost figures for right-of-way acquisition and <br />approaching legislators regarding financing. <br /> <br />Case #5: ~equest For Minor Subdivision; Case Of Mr. John Roemhild; <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Mr. Roemhild is requesting a minor subdivision of <br />Lot 1, Block 2 of Looyen's Addition. Planning and Zoning has no objection <br />to the minor subdivision but in 1979, City Council required that any future <br />subdivision of this plat would require improvements to Garnet Street. <br /> <br />Mr. Roemhild stated he cannot afford the entire blacktopping project and <br />Looyen's cannot afford to pay half the costs; he would be willing to <br />upgrade to Class 5 on the condition that he would be reimbursed by Looyen's <br />as lots are sold. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to deny <br />Mr. John Roemhild's request for a minor subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />~ase #6: ~equest For Metes And Bounds Subdivision;, C~ Of M~. Kris <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Ms. Fluegel is requesting a metes and bounds <br />subdivision to split off the north 2.5 acres, where the residential <br />structures are, from a 17 acre parcel where Ms. Fluegel intends to develop <br />a dog training facility. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLca to <br />approve Ms. Fluegel's request for a metes and bounds subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: Receive Bids For The Ramsey Park Center - Central Park <br /> Improvement Project #88-17: <br /> <br />Mr. Otto reported that the low bidder for the Park Center at Central Park <br />was Cottonwood Construction. Mr. Otto stated that the alternate bids for a <br />picnic shelter and air conditioning in the park building were very <br />reasonable and recommended adding those items to the contract.
