Voting No: None. <br /> <br />~ Review Reauast For Lot Split By William Gualke~; <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that Mr. Guelker is requesting a lot split of his parcel <br />located on Hwy. #47; no formal application has been made; a lot split was <br />requested in this general area about 2 years ago and Planning and Zoning <br />noted that'any further subdivisions should not be allowed without a public <br />road being provided for. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />recommend that Mr. Guelker proceed to accomplish the lot split via a minor <br />subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />~ Cqnsider Request To Waive 60 Day Review Period For Ramsey <br /> ~aycees' Bingo Licanse Application: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the Jaycees are requesting that the City waive the <br />60 day review period related to their request for a charitable gambling <br />license to conduct bingo games at the Ramsey Fall Fest. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Bawden to <br />waive the 60 day waiting period relating to the Jaycees' request for a <br />charitable gambling license for bingo. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: Request Of First Baptist Church To Use Ramsey Community Si~n: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the First Baptist Church has requested permission <br />to place a notice on Ramsey's community sign and use of the sign is planned <br />for in that particular time period. Mr. Hartley stated that use of the <br />Community Sign should follow the same policy as use of City Hall. That <br />policy states that the priority ranking is government, civic organizations, <br />individual~ and churches. Mr. Hartley stated that there is also the issue <br />of church and state to consider. <br /> <br />Council directed Mr. Hartley to prepare a policy for council adoption <br />regarding use of the community sign. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />deny First Baptist Church's request to use the community sign because there <br />are scheduled events already planned to displayed on the sign. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca stated that he believes churches <br />within the community should be allowed to place messages on the community <br />sign.
