Motion by CoUncilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Bawden to <br />authori~.e the City Engineer to obtain bids for parking lot lights in <br />accordance with option ~4. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers $orteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #16: <br /> <br />Information Item: Update on Mr. Leonard Simon's <br /> a.ccessory structure. <br /> <br />Mr Otto stated that per Gouncil direction, Community Development Technician <br />Steve Lutmer has researched whether persons are living in the accessory <br />structure that Mr. Leonard Simon has moved onto his property in Ramsey. <br />Mr. Lutmer has found no evidence that persons are living in the accessory <br />structure. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that he also spoke to Mr. Simon and apparently during <br />the dry season this summer, persons were camped on the property to watch <br />over the construction of the home in case of fire. <br /> <br />~ Outlob B, Countryside Estates. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich reported that he is investigating the cost of land <br />for 2 alternate park sites to serve the Countryside Estates area. <br /> <br />Case #18: ~ire Board report. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley reported that the Fire Board is requesting the following <br />actions from City Council: <br /> <br />Authorization to prepare specs for a pumper and tanker to be <br />brought back to Council for approval. <br /> <br />2. Prepare specs for turn-out gear and advertise for bids. <br /> <br />3. Purchase a pick-up truck for Fire Department use. <br /> <br />Give notice of termination of contract to the Anoka and Elk River <br />Fire Departments as of October 1, 1990. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Bawden to <br />approve the following requests of the Fire Board: <br /> <br />Preparation of specs for pumper and tanker to be brought back to <br />Council for approval. <br /> <br />Preparation of specs for turn-out gear and advertising for bids <br />for same. <br /> <br />Notification to Elk River and Anoka Fire Departments regarding <br />expiration of contracts as of October 1, 1990. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
