Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Consider Chan~iny Dates Of November City Council Meetinys: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that Council's first meeting in November falls on <br />Election Day. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />reschedule the November regular City Council meetings from November 8, 1988 <br />and November 22, 1988 to November 15, 1988 and November 29, 1988. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />~ Status Of Proposed Charter Amendment; <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the Charter Commission met on October 20, 1988, <br />suggested amendments to the proposed Charter amendment and requested that <br />City Council unanimously adopt the revised proposed Charter amendment in <br />order to forego the cost of a special election. Prior to Council adoption <br />of the charter amendment, the petition circulating committee must agree to <br />the modifications to the amendment proposed by the Charter Commission. If <br />the committee agrees to the modifications, Council may introduce the <br />ordinance at this time and adopt it at the meeting scheduled for November <br />15. The charter would then be amended provided over a period of 60 days a <br />petition is not received from at least 2% of the registered voters opposing <br />the charter amendment.
