Mr. Otto qoted that a Mississippi River crossing is 10-12 years in the <br />future; M~. Martin's property could be considered for inclusion in the MUSA <br />boundary with the next Comprehensive Plan amendment. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults suggested workin, g on plans to get municipal sewer and <br />water services as close to the landfill as possible. <br /> <br />Mr. Jon Peterson - Good Valu Homes - Confirmed that there are developers <br />that want to put quality, single family development into Ramey's urban <br />area. %nq~ired as to Ramsey's plan if Metro Council approves a 100 acre <br />urban a~ea expansion versus the 400 acres requested. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that he would guess that the policy makers would take a <br />stand to s~pport the developers and their requests for sewer and water <br />ext ensionsl. <br /> <br />Councilme~ber DeLuca suggested that the justification proposal also note <br />the numbe~ of jobs based in Ramsey and how this alleviates metro <br />transportation problems created by people commuting to Minneapolis for <br />work. This justification will indicate Ramsey is a growing city. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ippel noted that Metro Council statistics on Ramsey are very <br />inaccurate, <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that the City is in the process of compiling information <br />for submission to Metro Council and other agencies to correct inaccurate <br />statistics, <br /> <br />Mr. Hartl~y stated that the proposed justification for MUSA boundary <br />expansion will be subjected to a public hearing by the Planning and Zoning <br />Commissionl most likely in January.
