Motion by!Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />adopt ResOlution #88-246 receiving bids and awarding bid to Eddy Brothers <br />Company in the amount of $10,240.00 for breathing apparatus. <br /> <br />Motion ca~ried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case ~5~' iM. sAM -. ~ Y~r Construction Pro_~ram: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that every 3 years, Mn/DOT requests cities to update <br />their 5 year MSA construction plans. Ramsey's Road and Bridge Committee <br />met on D~c~mber 16, 1988 and is recommending utilizing future MSA funds to <br />extend 153:rd in a east/west direction across the city. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember $orteberg to <br />adopt ResOlution #88-247 approving the MSAS system 5 year construction <br />program for Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carWied. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />~ Rum ~ver Bridge Crossing: <br /> <br />Project Manager Jim Gromberg attended the December 13, 1988 Anoka County <br />Highway Department meeting regarding the Rum River Bridge and it was <br />reported that the County does not foresee any problems in acquiring <br />right-of-way, that funding for the bridge is in place and construction <br />should be completed by 9/1/89. <br /> <br />~ Re~nort F;om Personnel Committee: <br /> <br />Councilmem~er DeLuca reported that the Personnel Committee met on December <br />27, 1988 arid reviewed the proposed contract for the City Administrator. <br />The consensus of the Personnel Committee was to recommend that City Council <br />extend the.City Administrator's contract for another year with a rate <br />increase t~ $46,000/year. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Bawden to <br />extend thelcontract for the City Administrator for a one year period with a <br />rate increase to $46,000/year, effective immediately. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca noted that the City Administrator <br />did not receive a rate increase last year. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden.
