Councllr~ml3er-Elect Hardin fe]t the issues of future expansion, <br />permane/~t~ ownership and operation of the airport needs to be <br />adciressed qu ick I y. <br /> <br />MI S~ELL~EO[!.S ITEMS <br /> <br />Deputy Mayor Peterson stated the most common complaint has been <br />with the ~new ordinance. There are a number of violations In the <br />City that are eye sores; however, he didn't think certain people <br />should ~e singled out. If the ordinance is going to be enforced, <br />It should be enforced uniformly throughout the City; and the <br />Council ~l]] need to back that objective with funding. <br /> <br />Deputy Mayor Peterson felt another area that needs consideration Is <br />to work with the business community on signing. He suggested each <br />member ofll the new Council make a list of what they would like to <br />see a¢colTip]lshed by the next ac~nlnistratlon. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated he would like to see the Council, Ac~ninlstrative <br />Staff, Police an~ Fire Chiefs spend a day as a group some place <br />away from, City Hall to discuss idea]s, goals, guidelines, etc. <br />The general consensus was that the suggestion Is a good one and one <br />that should be explored further. <br /> <br />Councllmember Clch wanted to address the problems with the City <br />automated system as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Deputy MaYor Peterson stated he Is working on a Performance <br />Management Plan {or cutting costs, saving time and working smarter. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />MOTION byi Counci]member-Elect Hardin, Seconded by Councilmember- <br />Elect Beyer, to adjourn.
