The city recently issued $875,000 of General Obligation Capital <br />Equipment Certificates to fund 50% of 2015 -2017 capital equipment needs (squad cars, plow <br />trucks, etc.). The city had a bond ratings call with Standard and Poor's (S &P) Rating Service for <br />this issue. S &P assigned a AA+ rating to this issue and reaffirmed the city's AA+ rating that was <br />originally obtained in November 2009 (second highest rating available). In S &P's rating report <br />they noted the city's strong reserves, liquidity, strong management conditions pertaining to strong <br />financial policies and practices and adequate debt.
