equipment needs. Attached to the Weekly Update is the Full Standard and Poor's Rating Services
Report.
Report from Public Works. Public Works crews have been busy scraping and salting city roads
trying to remove the ice and hard pack snow from the storm on November 10 With the early
arrival of winter and lack of chemicals on the road, the snow bonded tightly to the road surface.
Crews have the arterials in good winter driving condition, but the side roads continue to be
troublesome. The utility department finished up two important projects before winter finally set
in for good. With the help of a contractor and the city of Anoka utility department they were able
to replace a defective elbow at the bottom of lift station 92. Not a pleasant job, no matter what
time of year! The other project was to make adjustments to an inside drop in a manhole at the
intersection of Sunfish Lk Blvd and Bunker Lk Blvd. This project needed the cooperation of
Anoka County Highway and we contracted with Warning Lites of Minnesota for the traffic
control. With the unseasonably cold weather, the park department is busy flooding our skating
rinks and actually has skateable ice! The Central Park rinks and warming house, will be open the
Friday after Thanksgiving to give people a chance to get an early jump on the skating season. With
the help of Connexus Energy, the Holiday tree has been "planted" and decorated. The official
lighting of the tree will be held Tuesday, December 9 at 6:30 pm in front of City Hall.
City of Ramsey Garden Club Adds Holiday D6cor to the Ramsey Municipal Center. Each
year the City of Ramsey Garden Club creates a beautifully- decorated holiday tree in the lobby of
the Municipal Center, using a variety of home -grown plants and flowers. Come see this fantastic
addition to our community's holiday d6cor.
