City Approves Two Rural Subdivisions; Construction for Rabbit Meadows and Tall Pine
Ridge Expected to Commence in Spring, 2015
The City recently approved two separate rural subdivisions on private well and septic totaling nine (9) lots. Rabbit Meadows is
located on 171st Avenue east of Tiger Street near the intersection of Rabbit Street at 171st Avenue. Tall Pine Ridge is located
east of Nowthen Boulevard near the City's northern border with the City of Nowthen. Due to seasonal winter conditions, these
developments are now expected to begin construction in spring of 2015. The City has received a request to potentially approve
one (1) single-family home in advance of road construction in Rabbit Meadows.
Update on McDonalds Location in Ramsey
On March 3, 2014, McDonalds USA, LLC acquired a parcel of land located at the south east corner of Sunwood Drive and
Armstrong Boulevard. McDonalds has indicated a plan to coincide opening of their new Ramsey location with the opening of
the new Armstrong Boulevard Interchange at Highway 10. Depending on the chosen construction schedule for the Armstrong
Interchange, it is anticipated that the new McDonalds location will open in either late-2015 or mid-2016.
Building Permit Metrics: Current Service Levels
As part of the City's Strategic Plan, the City formalized acceptable metrics and maximum service times related to Building
Permits. The table below illustrates current service levels and times experienced by our customers and residents.
Current service times are still within the acceptable metrics of the Strategic Plan.
Strategic Plan Metric Actual Status (Color Code)
Green = Acceptable
Yellow = At Metric
Orange = Reaching Max.
Red = Exceeds Metric
Plan Review 5-10 Business Days 7 Business Days
Inspection Window 24-48 Hours 48 Hours
