Study Group was to consider under what conditions, if any, it would be acceptable to allow the <br />site to redevelop as a data center. Ultimately, the Council decided not to pursue the reuse of the <br />site as a data center and directed staff to prepare a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to guide the <br />site for Low Density Residential to allow for detached, single - family homes. It was noted there <br />was not a development being proposed at this time. This step would begin the process to allow <br />the site to be redeveloped at a later date. Staff reviewed the Comprehensive Plan Amendment in <br />further detail and recommended approval. <br />Citizen Input <br />Jim Hirschman, 5859 Alpine Drive NW, requested clarification on what could be developed on <br />low density residential. <br />Community Development Director Gladhill described the types of residential homes that could <br />be constructed on low- density residential lots. <br />Motion by Commissioner Bauer, seconded by Commissioner VanScoy, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Bauer, VanScoy, Brauer, <br />Maul, and Nosan. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />Chairperson Levine closed the public hearing closed at 7:22 p.m. <br />Commission Business <br />Commissioner Bauer explained he served as the Planning Commission liaison to the committee <br />that addressed the rezoning of this property. He reported the input from residents was to rezone <br />this property residential. <br />Commissioner Brauer was pleased with the cooperative efforts between the City and the <br />residents in addressing the future of this property. <br />Motion by Commissioner Bauer, seconded by Commissioner VanScoy, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Resolution #14 -10 -205 approving the Comprehensive Plan Amendment. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Bauer, VanScoy, Brauer, <br />Maul, and Nosan. Voting No: None.
