Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION ~91-04-.~ A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FOLLOWING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO DANNY'S ALUMINUM PROCESSING, INC. REQUEST FOR AN AMENDED CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (as of 4/8/91) That Mr. Daniel Karst, Jr. of Danny's Aluminum Processing, Inc., hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant", properly applied for a conditional use permit amendment to expand an aluminum processing facility on March 15, 1991. That the Applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on April 11,1991 and that said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. That the subject property is generally known as 14050 Basalt Street N.W. and is legally described as follows: Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat #2, Anoka ~_~ County, Minnesota. 4. ~' That the subject parcels total approximately L,~ acres in size. 5. That the subject parcels are located in the I- 1 Industrial District. 6. That the adjacent parcels are zoned I-1 Industrial. 7. That the Applicant has submitted supporting documents as follows: - Written proposal for application for conditional use permit dated March, 1991. - Site Plan dated 2/20/91 - Floor Plan dated 2/20/91 That on April 25, i989, a conditional use perm/t was issued by the City of Ramsey to the Applicant for an aluminum processing facility on Lot 1, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat #2. That on November 13, 1990, an amended conditional use permit was issued by the City of Ramsey to the Applicant to expand capacity at the subject facility by allowing the addition of a second melt furnace to the operation. 10. That neither the original conditional use permit issued on April 25, 1989, nor the amended conditional use permit issued on November 13, 1990 permitted the disassembly of engines and transmissions on the subject site. 11. That on March 15, 1991, the City of Ramsey received an application from the Applicant for an amended Conditional Use Permit to permit disassembly of engines and transmissions on the site within the building, and Site Plan Review to construct an expansion to the smacture on Lot 1 to provide for an engine and transmission disassembly room and development of additional customer, employee and equipment off-street parldng on Lots 2, 3 and 4.
