b) Occupant Identification Signs. <br /> <br />1 ) All occupant identification signs in an industrial and office park shall be wall signs. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />There shall not be more than one wall sign for each principal building or principal <br />tenant or use within a building. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />The gross surface area of a wall sign shall not exceed fifteen (15%) of the tenant's <br />or use's proportionate share of the building wall to which the sign is to be affixed. <br /> <br />9.12.1 1 PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENTS <br /> <br />Subd. 1 <br /> <br />Sign requirements in planned unit development areas would be controlled by the <br />.City Council when the development is planned. <br /> <br />9.1 2.1 2 CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Subd. I <br /> <br />All permanent signs permitted by this ordinance shall be constructed in accordance <br />with this section. <br /> <br />Subd. 2 <br /> <br />lin addition to complying with the provisions of this ordinance, all signs shall be <br />constructed in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Building Code and <br />Electrical Code. <br /> <br />Subd. 3 <br /> <br />All signs shall be located in such a way that they maintain horizontal and vertical <br />clearance of all electrical power lines and communication lines. <br /> <br />Subd. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />All signs and their supporting strucures shall maintain clearance and non- <br />interference with all surface and underground facilities and conduits for water, <br />,sewage, gas, electricity, or communications equipment or lines. In addition, the <br />placement of all signs and their supporting structures shall not interfere with natural <br />or arrfificial drainage or surface or underground water. <br /> <br />Subd. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />All signs, except those attached flat against the wail of a building shall be <br />constructed to withstand minimum wind loads as follows: <br /> <br />a. Solid Signs: Thirty (30) pounds per square foot per face of the sign. <br /> <br />bo <br /> <br />Open Signs: Thirty-six (36) pounds per square foot of the total face area of <br />the letters and other sign surfaces, or ten (10) pounds per square foot of the <br />gross surface area of the sign, whichever is greater. <br /> <br />SIGN INSTALLERS LICENSE <br /> <br />Subd. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />No person, firm or corporation shall engage in the business of erecting, altering, <br />extending, repairing or maintaining signs or sign structures within the City of <br />Ramsey without fkst having procured a license in accordance with the provisions of <br />Chapter 7 (Licensing and Pen'nits). <br /> <br />Sign Ord.
