Chairman Zirhmerman stated that item #6 in Mr, Wojcik's CUP states there should be no exterior <br />storage of vehicle parts, tires or parts inventory. The purpose of this requirement is to prohibit <br />salvage and jtink yard activities. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen stated, in his opinion, Mr. Wojcik is salvaging vehicles and it is <br />specifically pPohibited in his CUP. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the definition of repair and salvage. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman stated that if tile Commission feels that Mr. Wojcik is violating the terms of <br />his conditional use permit, he could be asked to come in and request a revision of his CUP or the <br />Commission could recommend revcx~ation of the permit. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer felt that thc t'.ommission needed information from the State as to what <br />constitutes salvage. <br /> <br />Mr. Wojcik stated he does not store the vehicles on his property, he sends them out. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen stated ti~; vehicles are there for a period of time and that constitutes <br />storage. He slated his recollection o~' this issue is that Mr. Wojcik was granted some latitude with <br />repairs at the used car lot, but he could not do any major overhauls. <br /> <br />Mr. Wojcik stated there are no major engine or body overhauls being done at his site. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer ami seconded by Commissioner Thorud to table this issue until <br />there is more information available regarding salvage vehicles and the State requirements for a title <br />for these vehicles. <br /> <br />Further discussion: At the next meeting, Staff was directed to provide the minutes associated with <br />the original request for Mr. Wojcik's CUP. <br /> <br />Motion carrierl. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: Schedule Meelings <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commission to schedule a workshop meeting with the Economic <br />Development Commission for Thursday, April 18, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commission to schedule a public hearing for Tuesday, May 7, 1991 at <br />7:30 p.m. regarding the proposed ordinance to amend accessory structure height limits. <br /> <br />Case #6: Meeting with tile l,'ire Department <br /> <br />Mr. McKusick was not able to be reached so this case was tabled. <br /> <br />Case #7: , Information Items <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik included a letter from Mate Punch and Die dated March 21, 1991 regarding Mr. <br />Rychner's prOPosal for an aluminum processing facility for the Commission's information. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik also included a transmittal from Mary Eberley, Elk River Planning Commission, and <br />Mark Wallace, Otsego Planning Colnmission regarding the next Plan Share conference scheduled <br />for Saturday, ~pril 13, 1991 for the (:ommission's information. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission/April 2, 1991 <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
