Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Assistant Director of Public Works Brian Olson <br />Assistant Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:42 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1 ) TranspOrtation Issues <br /> <br />Elwyn Tinklenberg, The Tinklenberg Group, explained that over the last several months the <br />Council has talked about the importance of getting the Highway #10 corridor ready for future <br />improvcments because things are always changing and it is important for the City to decide how <br />they want the area along Highway #10 to develop. One of the most recent issues that could <br />change the current plans for transportation is the proposal by Mr. Kem~edy for a fast lane, which <br />Governor Pawlenty has supported. One of the areas being considered for a fast lane is Highway <br />#10. <br /> <br />.lodi P, uehle, Tl~e Tinklenberg Group, provided an overview of the report put together by Yaggy <br />Colby Associates during the AUAR process.
